egg eaters

Post by Grigri »

The other day I see a video on TV about a large catfish (1 m) I think from malawi...
the submarine movie clearly show the really curious habit of this fish. The youngsters where kept by their parents and regularly the female came and spawn a large amount of eggs to feed the youngs...
could some one tell me what is the name of that curious specie breeding their young by oofagous regime ???

Yes. It's not a fish commonly kept in home aquaria, the source of most pix in the Catelog.
