Hello I havent got a picture of my catty but i have been told its an albino labyrinth catish, when i bought it 2 months ago it was 3 inches long and now it is 9 inches, um how big do these things get and a word of warning to anyone wanting one of these, dont have any other fish in the tank as they (2 of em) even ate my black sharks which were fairly large (6 inches).
any help plz.

Look under the Cat-eLog for <i>Clarias batrachus</i> (walking catfish), and you should find some pics of your fish. There's also a Catfish of the Month article on it, I believe.
They will get to about 12 inches when full-grown, and yes, they do not take to tankmates kindly.

mine tolerates plecos, but not much else! Including me!

ps I hope what you have is C Batrachus and not a larger variety.

Silurus Have you ever seen an albino C Gariepinus?

I have never seen an albino gariepinus. People are a lot more interested in breeding them for food than the aquarium trade, so I guess there isn't demand for one. where they are cultured, I would imagine a lot of people would be turned off by the sight of an abino fish being sold for food.
