start of summer tank temp 31deg C

its the start of summer here..
noticed my tanks thermometer at 31 Deg celcius..
can my cories take this temp?
my cories are , sterbai, panda, albino , trilineatus and arcuatus..
what should i do?

31 is a bit high for most corydoras sp.

Is your room temperature higher then 31?

if its 31+ the only thing you can do is to make temp go down with equipment like an aquarium cooler or you could fabricate a cooler with a peltier element.

We deal with this kind of heat every summer, down here in australia! my tank has got up 33 for before on a regular basis. Water changes late in the afternoon and keeping the sun out of the room during the day will help!

In the summer my fish room temperature can get as high as 29 deg C. The Corys don't love it but they survive.

Heaps of air and evaporation. It is just basic science. What do they teach in schools these days ????

A good active airstone in one corner of a tank will pull the temp down 3 or 4 degrees. Very easy but so often overlooked.

But then power heads and internal power filters heat the tank....not something you need in Summer

What kind of lights do you have over the tank? Sometimes my lights can raise the temperature of the tank.
