Setup for L260 (Hypancistrus sp. Queen Arabesque)

Post by Elspeth »

I've always planned to move my two (HOPEFULLY M and F, only time will tell) QAs into their own tank. Now that I'm actually setting up a small tank for the Ancistrus claro, I ought to start thinking about this, the neighboring tank.

I'd like to use a 20 or 25 gallon tank, floor space 12" X 24" (very approx. 30cm X 60Cm for those who think in metric). I'm thinking one pair will be quite enough for this size tank... or could more comfortably fit?

I'd like to read your ideas on the best possible way to set up this tank just for L260s. Except for tank size, which I'm pretty firm on, ignore concerns about what a human would like to have in the tank for visual interest. These two tanks (QA and LDA08) are to be species, hopefully breeding, tanks and are to be furnished for the fish and not the fishkeeper.
