Thanks again!!!Silurus wrote:Yup, this one.
Do you think this one is female? Has two small nodules just in front of the eyes - although this one is only 2 months old.
Also, can I ask what is best to feed for green? I thought courgette / lettuce / peas but am not sure how to prepare them!
Thanks for all your help - like the website too!

It's hard to see the size of the fish. You say it's two months old, but does that mean that you've had it for two months or that it's two months since (choose one of) [the eggs where laid, the fry came out of the cave, it was imported into the country, it was sold to the LFS]
Judging by the size of the algae wafer beside it on the pic_id=142 picture, I'd say that it's about half a year old or so. It's probably a bit early to say whether it's male or female.
Males usually form the bristles around the lower front of the head first, so look for tiny bristles there first. Of course, it may never happen if it's a female.
Some of my first succesfull spawn (ca. 5 months after leaving the cave, and two inches long (TL)) are just starting to show some bristles. But just like humans, some will develop a little earlier than others, and these are definitely the biggest of that spawn.
