my 90 gal is controlled with r/o water and carbon dioxide to maintain a ph value of 6.9 the water is relatively soft with 0 nitite and a small amount of nitrate. the tank is heavly planted. Other inmates include angelfish,4 inch clown loach, faowella cat, albino bristlenose and some small assorted tetras. I have never had this trouble before and have kept both fresh and salt water fish for many years. Any insite would be appreciated. thanks bill
