Fast water flow?

Recently I installed an air diffuser onto my Eheim 2222 canister filter outlet pipe to create more air bubbles - to increase the oxygen level.

As a result, water flow near the air diffuser increases. And I noticed all my cories are swimming more actively and 'surfing' up the tank wall around that area.

(Previously the canister outlet is just gently 'dripping' into the tank.

And all the cories will only be more active during meal times or during sex.)

Questions:
- Are they enjoying the water flow? Or Are they struggling against it?
- Does higher water flow/higher oxygenated water improved their growth rate?

As the fishes seek out the faster moving parts, they must enjoy it (otherwise they would just have stayed put)

More oxygen in the water enables fish to process more food, thus to approach their maximum growth speed better.

However, as food in nature is often very scarce, fishes are adapted to tool ittle food, not an abundance of it. Therefore, be carefvull with overfeeding the fishes. They will not die from it, but it might shorten their life expecancy

With my moderator hat, can I please ask Freshman to fill in an appropriate location, as I believe you are not from "Cory Island" - if I'm wrong you are really from Cory Island, then please add which country that is in.

I find most cory types seem to like water flow. I cahnged several tanks over from large air powered sponge filters to small internals and worried about the increased flow, but the seem to like it. I did notice that Gossei and Sterbai did not seem quite so keen, so I gave them back their sponges.

I have MaxiJet 600 power heads driving a large sponge filter and one air driven sponge filter in most of my tanks 20 gallons and up and raised 500 Corydoras sterbai last year. They like a lot of current as far as my experience goes.
