Well, I bought him a couple months ago with that coloration (very different, darker substrate) and it hasn't changed at all. The one still at our LFS has pretty much exactly the same coloration as well. And our LFS uses different foods than we do. It makes me wonder if there is some other factor involved.
I have three S.Waterloti which are roughly between 5 and 7 inches ? i seem to remember them beig lighter in colour when younger i.e. yellowish , they are now much darker , a kind of brownish base with blackish marbled lines , Waterloti are i m o one of the most beautiful of the Syno group , not so much for their colour , but their wonderful streamlined , but also well built body structure
I agree that they are S. waterloti, although there is at least two 'forms' of it at the moment, the one with more of a yellow background with brownish marks, then yours with more of a greenish yellow and darker marks.
