Extra Large Pictus Catfish?

Post by Stone »

Someone I know just bought a tank from CL that included a few fish with it. One of those fish is a large catfish. It looks very much like a Pimelodus pictus, only it's about 9 - 10 inches. I looked around on here, but I'm at a complete loss. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

a real beauty!

this is obviously one of those fish that are often overlooked when young, because then they're more 'bland' than say Pim pictus or Pim albofasciatus.
this is one pretty catfish.

I'll ask him to take another better pic of the cat's side. Thanks for the replies so far!
