C. duplicareus

Post by bernt »

Does anyone have experience with Corydoras duplicareus? Is it difficult to breed? Just found them in the local fish store, and I must say that thay are really beautiful. I think I need a group of them.

I have got 5 of them and 1 of the umentionable ones that looks very similar, originally from Ian's famous fish house.
They have bred a few times since I have had them and I have just used the old trick of Dry and Rainy seasons.
Good article on breeding them. http://www.eheim-uk.com/duplicareus.asp

Very similar to C. adolfoi the only visual differences are that C. duplicareus are a little stockier and the colours tend to be more intence. There is a difference in the pectoral fin spine, in C. adolfoi the posterior esge is smooth but in C. duplicareus it is serrated.
