I have two pair of multies. My largest male has been tailing the two females and nipping the dorsal of the largest female. I didnt have any breeding pairs of cichlids in the tank yet.......
I just scored on craigslist and found someone thinning out their tanks and picked up some Aulonocara sp Lwanda for cheap. Beautiful fish. I got his dominant male and largest females. They're in quarantine now. I've bred 13 species of fish, mostly cichlids. I've always wanted to spawn multies and now its starting to come together. Time to be patient. I also picked up some baby C. borleyi Kadango from him. He wouldnt let go of any of his females so I bought a 1/2 dozen fry to grow out. Hopefully I'll get a couple females to go with my 6"-7" male.
