How big before L46 will breed?

As the title says at what size will L46 breed?

This is kind of a catch 22 question as there really is no accurate answer. I've had them spawn as small as 2-1/4 inches SL, but I think that was more of an exception than the rule. All the other breeders I've had were over 2-1/2 inches before ever showing any signs of females conditioning. In the end, it's really just a waiting game to see when they're ready.
