Hi,
L 71 keep the white points also in the age, and the lower caudal fin is not that long in comparison to the upper.
But with this picture, it´s quite difficult to say that it actually is an Ancistrus .

"Cryptocephalus" = "Hidden head" (or "inconspicious head"). I think it's meaning that "If you can't see the head, it's hard to identify".
Would help to know how big it is. And see the whole fish!

Ok Definately a Ancistrus.....
I will try to pull it out, but I don't want to disrupt the tank too much as there are others in there about to breed.
I shall return once I obtain a clear pic.

Get a pic or count the dorsal rays. Could be l213,l182 or even an adult l183 you may never know though
