Hi, need help sexing these 2. Suspected male but want to seek other opinion.

It's always very difficult sexing fishes in very different sizes.... as this photo shows....

Anyway... the big one is a male for sure...
But the smaller one... hard to tell how this one will look when he/she gets bigger... Could be a female, but also a young male.


I would keep them in a big tank and see if the big one is very agressive towards the smaller one or if the smaller one becomes gravid...

Perhaps someone else has an better eye on this ones...

Thanks Cristoffer, the younger piece did had a fat tummy once which made me believe it was female initially however after several months later(just a few days back) I took them up to reset them and realise that the younger one has more male features compared to few months back. So I'm more skewered to believing it could be 2 males instead of a pair.

I agree but they are L282 not L97
