I tend to agree with Steve. The background here is they are all from one batch of fishes from Michael at Imazoo. So, someone that knows what they're talking about but isn't a pleco specialist. I reckon as young fishes they look very similar. The depth of the body on the back half of the fish gives it away though. Thinking about it, the first time I saw both fishes was in an exporter in Iquitos, Peru - so they are likely exported together.
