Synodontis Eupterus missing lip & Fading top thin with

Post by kyrianou »

I have bought 2 synodontis Eupterus a week ago and keep them with a black shark and 3 platies which were all sold together. Apparently the catfish have lived together from birth and id say they are 5-6 inch in lengh.

They live in sand some drift wood and rocks with holes. so no sharp objects.

Over the last couple of days i have noticed a a pellett looking tongue being exposed because the lower lip is dropping or the upper lip is missing, thus the mouth is always open.

This was not the case previously when I first purchased them.

The Black Shark seems alittle aggresive sometimes thought maybe this could be to blame but seems to have now calmed down.

There are also a vertical line thats appearded towards tail end that like spots and the back fin is fading whitish in parts.

Can anyone please help.
