Recently I installed an air diffuser onto my Eheim 2222 canister filter outlet pipe to create more air bubbles - to increase the oxygen level.

As a result, water flow near the air diffuser increases. And I noticed all my cories are swimming more actively and 'surfing' up the tank wall around that ...

Sorry I can't really help much with your corydoras breeding problem as I'm also a new to it.:oops: My two successful breeding attempts with corydoras aeneus are with the help of an air pump. :D

That's one of worst tankmates you can get for your cories. Sadz.

IMO, your cories are constantly living under stress, as there is a predator/aggressor lurking around. Any wounds/injuries/infections will be greatly worsen in stressed state, leading to death eventually.

Perhaps you would like to observe it closer to see whether is it eating. Throw in some pellets to test its response. From what I know, a healthy cory will rush immediately to the food or start to 'dig around' among the gravels.:lol:

Hi, I noticed some of my cories are twitching and scratching vigorously. Not always but just once a while for about 2 secs or so each time.
